Which plants is BONSAI-PRO for?
Superthrive Bonsai-Pro is formulated for Bonsai trees. Like all other plants, Bonsai require NPK plus all the other essential macro- and micro-nutrients. With Superthrive, even Bonsai grown in largely inorganic substrates like pumice and scoria still receive all the nutrients they require, every time you water.
However, unlike other trees, Bonsai cannot broaden their root systems to access water and other nutrients so benefit from frequent watering and a weekly application of Bonsai-Pro, offering support for balanced, healthy growth even when dealing with sometimes dramatic fluctuations in temperature, light, soil, pruning and more.
Should I use GROW or BONSAI-PRO?
Both Superthrive Grow and Bonsai-Pro are the same 7-9-5 formula. If you're looking for a larger size than the 236ml than Bonsai-Pro is available in, you can also use Superthive Grow 946ml available here.
Why is Superthrive BONSAI-PRO different?
COMPLETE > Providing all 12 essential and 4 beneficial nutrients all in one, simple, single-part formula, including calcium. Truly complete, not just NPK.
UREA FREE > Safer for potted and container plants to help reduce mineral salt build-up and fertiliser burn.
BALANCED > A carefully balanced formula to avoid both deficiencies and excesses designed for feeding every time you water.
How to use BONSAI-PRO
MAINTENANCE > Mix 1/4 teaspoon per gallon of water, or 1ml per 1.5 litres water, every time you water or weekly. Can be used for both watering substrate and misting foliage.
GROWTH > For newly repotted Bonsai use 1/2 teaspoon per gallon of water or 2ml per 1.5 litres water.
