Leaf Watering Funnel - AQUA

$3.90 NZD

When I first saw the Leaf Watering Funnel I had that moment of delight in finding something I never knew I needed until I found out it existed. Plus it helps that the design and colour's gorgeous too. Got to love it when practical and pretty go together.

What can you use them for?

No more water going everywhere! I have some plants that are so full I always manage to accidentally water a leaf instead of the soil and end up making a huge mess, with water going all over the bench and floor, everywhere but in the pot where it should be.

For something so simple these save me so much time, especially when watering the ridiculous amount of plants I have. No more having to carefully, slowly pour the water, avoiding the leaves, making sure water gets where it's needed. I've now got a Leaf Watering Funnel in each of my full plants, plus I'm loving them for watering my hanging plants too without having to worry about being super-accurate. Just pour into the funnel. I'm also finding them great for Orchids, Begonias, African Violets and my other jungle members that don't like their leaves getting wet.

You could just get one Leaf Funnel and shift it from plant to plant, but the price is so good I just went with the most time-saving solution and got myself a few. Plus if you get them as a set of 3 there's a big saving too.

What size are they?

They are designed to handle a decent amount of water without spilling a drop. I found they are a bit bigger in real life than they look in photos. Best suited to medium to larger size pots. You absolutely can use them in smaller pots of course, but might find them a bit big compared to your plant.

Stem length: 3 inches / 7.5cms

Leaf funnel length: 5 inches / 12cms

Leaf width: 3 inches / 7cms

How do you use them?

Slide the 'stem' into your soil near the edge of your pot, leaving the leaf sitting outside your pot. Then simply water onto the leaf. Water will funnel neatly into the pot without spilling everywhere.

I find they work best in standard potting mix, for everything from fine to medium size substrates. In very chunky or bark substrates you may find you need to wiggle the bottom of the leaf itself into the top of the substrate to keep it in place when you water. They are sturdy yet light enough not to tip pots over if you want to leave them in place all the time like I do.

Reviews

"Was quite impressed & would recommend these. They are not flimsy plastic, but rather a sturdy design that gets the job done. I've placed these in some herb plants to make watering a little easier. It's often advisable to not get leaves wet during watering & this is perfect. 3 different shades of green blend beautifully with the plants & are hardly noticeable. Makes watering (& not making a mess) a breeze!" @dangerbabe

"I did not expect much from these, but it's actually a huge help with my plants! I have very large pothos vines, it's hard to get them watered without dumping water all over the floor. These little leaves help me guide the water where it needs to go. Also helps with plants that are at the back of the shelf, so I don't have to take everything off the shelf just to water!" @anc927

"These little doodads are a very cute addition to the array of plants in my house, and they funnel the water precisely into the pot so there's no spillage on the floor. My plants are clustered together and some are difficult to reach, so these leaves make it easier to get the water where it's needed." PR Crandall

"Whoever thought of this idea is a genius! These leaves fit into my plant pots easily and make watering my plants so much easier. I no longer have to try to pour the water around my plant while still pouring water over the leaves and onto the floor. I'm going to buy another pack of these for the rest of my plants." Lori Dix
