Don't let the bad bugs win. Take control of your plant's health with Yates Mavrik. Controls spider mites, aphids and thrips on your indoor plants, as well as whitefly, caterpillars and TPP on tomatoes and potatoes. Also safe for use on flowers as will not harm beneficial insects like bees once dry. This is for the Yates Mavrik 750ml Ready-to-Use 'Gun' which comes pre-mixed in a trigger-spray bottle. You can also get Mavrik 200ml Concentrate that dilutes to make 20 litres of spray.
How to mix and apply Mavrik
No need to dilute. It's already done. Just twist the trigger nozzle, and spray all plant surfaces thoroughly. Complete coverage is required for best results. If some of your plants have hard-to-wet foliage (such as very waxy leaves where water beads off), mix in a wetting agent such as Enspray 99 for better 'stickability' on leaves so Mavrik can get to work.
What pests does Mavrik work on?
Mavrik is effective against spider mites, aphids, thrips on your indoor plants, as well as whitefly, caterpillars and TPP on tomatoes and potatoes.
What's in Mavrik?
Mavrik is a low-toxic, water-based synthetic pyrethroid which acts as a broad spectrum insecticide. It controls a wide range of insects and mites. It's safe to use on indoor plants, outdoor plants and flowering plants. It's safe to use on indoor plants, outdoor plants and flowering plants. For plants with very delicate leaves you can spot-test by applying to one leaf and waiting 48 hours before treating the rest of the plant.
How often do you need to re-apply Mavrik?
This depends on the insect's life cycle, so how frequently to re-apply will vary. It's normal to require multiple treatments and repeat for longer than the insect's life cycle, especially in cooler temperatures which can extend the life cycle for some insects. For example, Aphids have a very short 3 day life cycle so require spraying every 3 days.
