Don't laugh. I never thought I'd say this about a jug. But I love my IBIC jug. Who knew a humble jug could be so good. And not just because it's NZ Made (but that helps). IBIC jugs are next-level compared to the cheap throw-aways. They are loaded with design features that make them the professional jug of the horticultural industry.

This jug holds 1 litre and measures 18.7cms tall x 11.4cms wide across the top and 9.1cms across the bottom.

Accurate pour control

This jug gives you the perfect pour. The spout design allows you to go from a heavy pour to a fine trickle, with both extremes being easy to control thanks to the clever spout design that graduates from wide flow to angled point.

High chemical resistance

Made of food-grade, super-strong plastic with excellent chemical resistance. Designed for horticultural use with fertilisers and insecticides.

Larger freeboard area

You'll notice the 1 litre mark is lower than normal. Above that is the freeboard area. It's the larger than normal freeboard area on IBIC jugs which is why they are known for low to non-spill. Much easier when pottering around from plant to plant. Much better peace of mind when carrying around even when full.

High clarity

To get this level of clarity in this thicker-grade plastic normally requires a heavy glass jug. IBIC jugs have very high clarity for a plastic jug, almost completely clear. Makes getting exact liquid amounts so easy. No guesswork for how much is left too so you don't run-out midway through your watering rounds.

UV stabilised

Although I'd recommend storing it out of direct sunlight, Ibic jugs are made of UV stable plastic for indoors and outdoor use.

Permanent measurement

Run your finger along the measurements down the side and you'll feel they're raised. Along with hot-foil stamping of the increments, this combination makes for permanent increment markings for a very long life. Increments start from 10mls, and increase 10mls at a time right up to 1000mls (1 litre) for big capacity yet high accuracy for getting mixing ratios perfect.

Handle placement

The extra long handle makes for a comfortable hold for a wide range of hand sizes. The clever design sits the weight lower than normal, making it easier to carry even when full and reducing wrist strain. The lower tipping point also makes it easy to pour without the surprise of it pouring before you expect it to. No more accidental spills when full. Between the spout and handle the control you get really is superb.

Dishwasher safe

When you really need to give them a thorough clean, you can pop Ibic jugs in the dishwasher. Handles temperatures beyond boiling, up to 110 degrees celsius.

Made in New Zealand to the very highest of standards.

Grosafe FreeFlo Copper is an organic copper hydroxide in the form of water-dispersible granules, making it rain-fast and more efficient due to the finer particle size.

FreeFlo Copper is also more bioavailable for better protection from both fungal and bacterial pathogens (pathogens are bacteria, viruses, or other microorganisms that can cause disease).

Grosafe's Copper also means less elemental copper for better environmental protection. Certified input for Organics.

For roses and other ornamental and flowering plants, including houseplants, for fruit including citrus, pipfruit, stonefruit and vegetables.

Copper is also an essential micronutrient for plants.

The copper crystals adhere to the leaf surface and continuously release free copper ions, creating a protective barrier that prevents infection.

With Grosafe's average particle size a tiny 1.711 microns (compared to copper competitors which average around 7 microns), Grosafe FreeFlo Copper provides better coverage, better staying power as well as making it easier to mix.

Expect virtually no dust plus better suspension in water for problem-free prep and spraying.

Half-fill the spray tank with water. Slowly add the required amount of FreeFlo Copper, stirring well as you go. Top up with water and spray.

The measuring cap (included), has marked lines (filled to the top it's equal to 11grams).

Spray to cover foliage well.

Can be used by itself, however for best results, use with a compatible spreader such as EcoSpread to reduce beading, increase coverage and ensure better distribution, especially during difficult weather such as hot and dry conditions.

Follow best practice when handling or applying this product. The same general safety precautions apply as for any spray treatment, including insecticides and fungicides, even those certified organic or generally safe.

Detailed safety directions for spray treatments >

Always check the label before use. Spray outdoors when possible, or in a well-ventilated area. Wear basic protective gear, including gloves and eye protection, when preparing and using the product.

A coverall (like disposable Painter’s overalls) is recommended to protect clothing and reduce skin exposure. Avoid inhaling spray / mist. Avoid contact with eyes / skin. Wash hands and exposed skin with soap and water after use.

You can download the safety data sheet here (at the bottom of this page on Grosafe's website)
