Grosafe Enspray 99 Spraying Oil - Insecticide & Fungicide - 300ml Ready to Use + Spray Bottle

$21.99 NZD

Go go Enspray. Bye bye bugs.

What insects does Enspray 99 treat?

Certified organic, Grosafe Enspray 99 in this ready-to-use pre-diluted spray bottle, can be used as both a leaf polish or leaf spray for controlling mealy bugs, scale, aphids, red mite, thrips, powdery mildew and more. Enspray 99 is not a poison. It's safe for plants and people, even safe for bees and other beneficial insects.  Bad news for the bad bugs though!

How does Enspray 99 work?

As an insecticide, Enspray 99 works in 2 ways to inhibit pests at 3 stages: eggs, nymphs and adults. It works both directly, and through changing bug behaviour. Through direct contact, it suffocates adult insects and mites. It also protects your plants by reducing feeding and egg laying to reduce reinfestation, help with population control over time, and protect plants from feeding damage.

Enspray 99 also works as a broad spectrum fungicide, active against many fungi, including rust, powdery mildew, greasy spot, sooty mould and Botrytis (grey mould).

What's so special?

Enspray 99 is an extremely pure mineral oil formula with less than 1% impurities. Mineral oil has been used as an insecticide for generations because of its low toxicity, but is typically high in impurities, which has a tendency to burn young and tender leaves. The other downside of most mineral oil treatments is their low 'stickability' and coverage. Enspray 99 is different.

Enspray is so pure it covers better and stays on longer without the risk of burning tender foliage. It stays put on plant surfaces for longer, killing more pests and protecting plants for longer. It's also more rainfast than other treatments, making it suitable for both outdoor and indoor application.

It's not only safe for plants, it's also safer for people. Enspray 99 is certified organic for peace of mind for use right up to harvesting for crops, herbs and veges, plus it's safe for bees and beneficial insects. Safe for use on fruits, vegetables, houseplants, roses and more.

How do you use Enspray 99 Ready to Use?

This is the re-usable, ready to use, pre-diluted Enspray 99. No prep required. Just  shake to give it a quick mix, and spray. Done.

This type of spray trigger has a really fine spray for excellent coverage, and sprays even when upside-down to get underneath leaves with ease to target the nooks and crannies where bugs like to hang out.

You can also get Enspray 99 Concentrate that you mix with water to use as a leaf polish or spray, and when your ready-to-use supply runs out in this trigger-top bottle, you can use 6ml of Enspray 99 Concentrate mixed with 300ml of water, and refill your spray bottle.

To refill: Twist the spray top and lift off the bottle. Mix 6ml of Concentrate with 300ml water, pour in, and you're ready to spray. Remember to give it a shake up before each use.

How often should you apply Enspray 99?

When used as an insecticide, you want to apply it at the frequency to match when the insect you're targeting moves from egg to larvae to adult stages. A common frequency is weekly, which is how I use it, but best to follow the label, which says to repeat every 14 days if required.

You can also use Enspray 99 as a preventative, by applying monthly. For broader effectiveness against more fungal and bacterial diseases, mix Enspray 99 with FreeFlo Copper Fungicide (mix in FreeFlo Copper first, Enspray 99 second).

Enspray 99 reviews

"The magic of this oil is two-fold – it works both as a slippery lubricant that prevents pests and disease from taking hold of your plant AND it acts to smother any pests you already have. It’s nifty stuff, let me tell you! And the very best part – it’s totally organic!"

"If you're looking for alternatives to chemical sprays to control sucking insects, Bill Brett, in his book Garden Pest & Disease Control, advises that a mineral oil product like Enspray 99 is organic, and suitable for use on annuals (including vegetables), perennials, bulbs, tubers, roses and shrubs."

Goodbye spidermites!

I've had problems with spidermites since I brought home a Bamboo Palm last year. Tried everything - isopropyl wipes, insect spray, Neem oil etc, but nothing seemed to work long term. Until I discovered Enspray.
Absolutely brilliant! Spidermites are gone. I would highly recommend this product.

Mealy bugs hate this spray

The mealy bugs really didn't like this spray and as it is in a pump bottle I could easily get underneath the leaves where they hang out . Would recommend as it was gentle on the plant as well (Pony tail palm & Chrysanthemum) .

Great

I use this in conjunction with my groventive on my indoor plants. I love it’s pre made and easy to use. I personally find it quite strong smelling (so keep the windows open) but overall a great product that I will buy again.

Pretty good

I definitely think this has done a great job getting rid of the nasties on my plants, and they make the leaves nice and shiny. No nasty smell which I love too. I do however think the solution could be more diluted. I added abit of water to mine, and I found with some delicate plants it would leave spots on them if I sprayed too close. I also had to fiddle around with the nozzle as it was too tight and wouldn't spray. But still a good product that I will continue to use.

Hi Monique, so pleased to hear Enspray's got rid of the nasties! Great news. It does sound like your spray bottle needs adjusting however. A light residue is normal, and once dry, can be wiped off if you prefer (I use neem oil leaf shine to give mine a wipe), however is normally barely noticeable. It's not phytotoxic so won't harm plants once dry if you do leave it on.

What you describe sounds more than a light residue, so I think your spray mister is the reason, not the product itself. I'll email you the spray adjustment directions as I expect it's not set fine enough (they are adjustable misters).

And yes, you can dilute Enspray more than the recommended dose. When you buy the concentrate it gives you the directions to mix with water. The ready to use comes already mixed at the ideal dilution rate. Diluting further may reduce the effectiveness slightly, but repeat treatments will get anything missed. Again though, it sounds like the mister may be why, rather than the dilution rate.

I'll email the mister trouble-shooting as I expect that's what's caused it, so worth adjusting it before your next treatment as that should avoid it next treatment - Anna @lovethatleaf
