These are clear acrylic claw clips that keep the focus on your plants. Also available in dark green claw clips >
What are they for?
These small, clear, reusable clips are also called butterfly clips, orchid clips or hoya clips. They secure your plant's stems to stakes and supports. I love these clear clips to keep the focus on your plant. They really are crystal-clear and won't detract from your plant.
These work great with the clear Arka Trellis and Rain Clear Stakes, with Grow Vertical and Gentle Garden moss poles, and with other plant stakes like Botanopia, wooden sticks and bamboo stakes, as well as plastic stakes and trellises, like the dark green Elho Trellis and the white, art-deco inspired Crew Trellis.
What size are they?
These are ever-so-slightly larger than the original dark green claw clips but still measure just under 1.5cms x 1.5cms. A perfect fit for the teeth to slip around and inside the mesh on moss poles while still being small enough for a secure hold on stakes and trellis.
Which plants are they good for?
These clips are a great size for most thinner to medium thickness stems and growth tips, including Pothos, Ivy, Philodendron, Chain of Hearts, Epipremnum, Hoya, thinner Orchid flower spikes and more. For thicker stems like a Monstera and mature Philodendron, go for plant velcro instead.
Popular for securing climbers with finer stems, like Hoya, Ivy and Chain of Hearts around loops and shapes. And of course for securing Orchid bloom spikes to stakes, which is where they get their name from. Check out the photos showing the clips being used to secure a Hoya.
These are crystal-clear with 3 interlocking 'teeth' either side, on a metal spring that easily opens and closes, making them super easy to reposition. No fiddly wrapping around, tying or untying needed.
