Which plants is GT Flower Focus for?

For all your flowering indoor plants, including Peace LiliesHoyasAfrican VioletsAnthurium, Begonias and more. An all-purpose bloom fertiliser and best buddy to GT Foliage Focus. Shift from Foliage to Flower when first signs of a new spike, bud or flower appear.

Why is Flower Focus different?

Flower Focus is made by Growth Technology, known in the industry as GT. These are the clever chaps behind world-famous Clonex. GT takes a different approach to plant nutrition, providing crop-specific and lifestage-specific nutrition giving plants everything they need and nothing they don't. The result is an all-in-one fertiliser that's gentle enough to use every time you water, even for salt-sensitive plants, variegated plants and plants prone to fertiliser-burn.

Calcium included

Most fertilisers lack calcium, yet calcium is essential for plants, even more so for flowering. A deficiency can prevent flowering, or cause bud-blast (where buds form but fail to flower), as well as flowers that bloom then brown and die prematurely. Calcium isn't a mobile nutrient. If there’s a deficiency when flowers are forming, the damage is done. Your plant needs a regular supply. Flower Focus includes everything flowering indoor plants need, including calcium and is gentle enough to use every time you water.

Save your plants from fertiliser burn

GT is guaranteed free of urea, sodium and chlorides, making it safe even for variegated plants, salt-sensitive plants and slow growers, all more prone to fertiliser burn. Outdoors, excess mineral salts can leach away from the roots. Indoors, our plants can't escape. GT uses urea-free nitrogen, chloride-free potassium and guarantees no added sodium to reduce the risk of fertiliser burn.

Complete + Balanced

Most fertilisers provide NPK only - Nitrogen (N), Phosphorus (P) and Potassium (K). 'The Big 3' plants need the most of, but not all 12 that plants need. GT provides all 12 essential minerals needed to support flowering. Those missing nutrients is why some flowering plants simply won't flower until all their mineral needs are met.

Check the label. GT provides all 12 essential nutrients and because GT Focus is formulated for indoor plants, that means no nickel (for cereal crops like barley and legumes) and no cobalt (for legumes like peas). Known phytotoxins for indoor plants, even in small amounts. All GT formulas are complete and balanced, providing everything flowering indoor plants need, and nothing they don't.

pH Buffered

Even if you provide all 12 essential minerals, if the pH is wrong, nutrients can be
locked in the soil. Maintaining an average pH of 6 keeps all 12 essential nutrients safe and available. GT Focus is pH buffered to maintain the ideal pH.

Chelated Minerals

Pronounced 'key-lay-ted' (like unlocking a key in a door). For plants to utilise the essential metal minerals, they need to be in a water-soluble form. Chelating attaches organic molecules to metal minerals such as iron, keeping them water-soluble, unlocked and availableGT Focus uses chelated metal minerals to help avoid deficiencies.

When to switch from Foliage to Flower?

If you don't know your plant's usual reproductive cycle, shift from FOLIAGE Focus to FLOWER Focus at first sight of a new spike or peduncle, or new buds on existing spurs. It's best to know your plant's cycle and shift to FLOWER before the first spike or buds appear. Continue feeding FLOWER until flowering finishes, then shift back to FOLIAGE.

During the vegetative phase (growing foliage), mineral requirements are not the same as the reproductive phase (flowering), requiring a change in minerals provided to support the growth required for repeat blooming next season. During the reproductive phase, a drop in nitrogen is one key difference to shift a plant's focus from foliage to flowering, with phosphorus, potassium, calcium levels and more different also. For calcium lovers like Orchids, there's also the crop-specific formula GT Orchid BLOOM

GT Flower Focus Directions for Use

Adjust dilution rate according to the plant's needs. For light feeders use the lower range of 3mls GT per 1 litre water. For heavy feeders or fast growers up to 10mls (2 teaspoons) per 1 litre water. For a 'mixed jungle' (a broader collection of different flowering plants), use the general maintenance range, every time you water.

To avoid irreversible deficiencies in immobile nutrients (such as calcium), it's recommended to fertilise with GT Focus every time you water.

GT Flower Focus

I have been feeding my Peace Lilies the GTFlower Focus every time I water. Just 5mls per litre. For the last 2 months. What a difference - not only have the plants doubled in size with healthy lush leaves with not a brown edge in sight but I have 5 or 6 large flowers on each one. This is the first time I have had success bringing a Peace Lily back into flower after the initial flowers have died.

Looking good

Have bought this for my anthuriums who this year have been a bit poorly. Since starting feeding them with flowers focus they are starting to look healthy again. Will keep you updated as to flowers.
